The two most memorable elements of any wedding day (apart from the ceremony of course) are the entertainment and the food. Your guests need to be wined and dined as the special guests that they are, but what they will remember in years to come is that they had a really fantastic time.

In fact, a recent survey* of 1000 couples revealed some fascinating facts: 81% of attendees remembered the entertainment more than anything else at the wedding, and 78% of couples said they wished they had made the entertainment and guest experience their highest priority. Only 5% of the total budget was allocated to entertainment and 100% of couples said they definitely would have spent more money on the entertainment.

Here are some ideas that are guaranteed to make everyone lucky enough to attend your wedding, remember and talk about it for the rest of their days…

Drinks reception

During the reception, you often find guests gravitating towards people they know and small groups start forming. My magic will bring these different groups together, entertain them and then leave them talking about what they have just seen. In fact, it is the perfect icebreaker, sparking conversation that lasts long after the performance.

This time is also usually when the all important photographs are taken. This is a busy time for the wedding party, however it can also be a time of extreme boredom for those guests who may only be needed for one or two photos. I can lighten the mood, with miracles performed right under the noses of your guests and in their hands. The time simply flies by for them, and when it’s their turn to be photographed they are smiling from ear to ear and clearly having fun.

Wedding breakfast

Imagine hearing cheers, laughter and applause from different parts of the room during your wedding breakfast as I move from table to table baffling and entertaining your guests with unbelievable feats that defy the laws of physics.

I will perform a very special piece of theatre reserved exclusively for the bride and groom and leave them with a small, impossible memento to remind them of the magic of their special day. I can also work closely with your photographer to ensure the magic moment is recorded for prosperity.

Additionally, if you have lots of children attending, I can arrange a magical performance in a separate room during the speeches, to make sure they are nice and peaceful for the adults, while making the children feel special with their own private show.

Before the evening party

Between the reception and the evening party, there is often an hour or so turnaround where the venue is changed from a dining room to your evening party - tables and chairs must be removed and the band or DJ allowed to set up. While I can’t use my wand to make all this happen instantly, I can perform for you and your guests during this time to make it feel like a part of the celebration rather than unavoidable downtime.

I will also entertain the evening guests as they arrive, getting them into the party mood before the music starts. So as to not compete with the band or DJ, or prevent anyone from dancing the night away, my final act of the day will be to hand over to them.
