I am also an experienced actor with many theatre, musical and pantomime credits to my name. Since 2016, I have been taking classes in, and performing improvisation to improve my ability to think on my feet and deal with any situation that may arise.

In 1993, I won the Vienna Tone Close Up Trophy from the Kent Magician’s Guild Competition.

In 2015 and 2016 I also won two national magic competitions, one of them in the Opera House in Blackpool, which seats 3000 people. I am the current holder of this award.

I am known around the world for my magical rubber band routine, which I like to call “the art of rubbergami.” This is my signature piece and unique to me.

Meet Pip

Hello!

How lovely to see you. Thank you so much for considering me to entertain at your special event. I typically entertain at Weddings, Corporate Events, Private Parties, Festivals and many other types of celebrations.

Allow me to quickly tell you about myself (you can find out more on the Meet Pip page). Magic is not just a job for me, it is a way of life. I was inducted into The Magic Circle aged just 20 and at the time I was the youngest member! I am so proud of this achievement because it means that I am officially recognised as a master of my craft. In 1994 I was considered good enough to become an Associate of the Inner Magic Circle (that’s like being a Grand-Master at Chess or an England Footballer!)

My unique combination of magic, performance and comedy was developed through my experiences performing in Amateur Dramatics and working as a Blue-Coat as a teenager, and I have continued to work on these skills, most recently by joining an Improv group. The stage is my second home and I will instantly put any audience at ease, allowing them to be transported into the magical world that I create.

I am a perfectionist and will never perform magic for an audience until I am confident that it will baffle and mesmerize the audience, bringing my special brand of fun, wit and storytelling to the performance. What areas do you perform in?

The answer to this really depends on your event and budget. Most of my shows are performed in London, Surrey and surrounding areas, however, I have travelled up and down the country from Cornwall to Scotland for special events.

For those who are really looking to impress their guests and want a one-of-a-kind experience, you'll be glad to know that I've travelled to many countries including France, Canada and the USA, and have performed all over the world with my unique brand of magic. I perform at events of any size, anywhere in the world, even on cruise ships!

How long do your performances last?

For close-up mix and mingle, and magic during dinner, the rule of thumb for estimating the time you will need me is one minute per guest. A couple of hours would be just right for around 100 guests.

The cabaret and stage show is available as a 20 minute, 30 minute, 45 minute and the full Pip & Paul 2 hour show with an interval.

These are just guides and can, of course, be changed and adapted to suit your specific event. Corporate entertaining is normally bespoke and can take many different forms.

What do you charge for your magical performances?

The cost of my services varies greatly and are dependant on many different factors.

Where will the show take place?
What type of event are you holding?
Are you looking for close, intimate, mix and mingle magic or a full stage show?
What is the size of the audience - is it 10, 100, or 1000+ ?

All of these, plus many more variables will affect the fee for my magical entertainment. What Guarantee do I have that you will do a good job?

Good question. You need to have peace of mind that you have made the right choice of entertainer who will make sure everyone has a great time.

Apart from my pretty unique satisfaction guarantee (found below) - I can offer you the following:

I am a member of The Magic Circle - meaning that I had to perform magic in front of my peers and have them deem me of a high enough standard to be worthy of membership. There are only around 1500 members worldwide, and so this is a seal of approval for my magical skills.

I am also a multi-award-winning magician, having taken first place in several competitions when up against some of the world's best magicians. Many of my peers judge my skills and abilities very highly.

My magic is always tailored to suit every audience - I will never perform magic that isn't suitable for your guests. All my routines are perfectly safe for everyone to enjoy.

As a full time professional for over 30 years, I have witnessed nearly every type of situation, and have the experience to know how to manage them successfully. I perform regularly at weddings, corporate events, celebrations and private parties, so you are in safe hands!

Once you have booked me, you can relax and enjoy it, knowing you have booked a professional who will do everything they can to ensure your event is a roaring success.

What do we need to supply?

Not much really. I bring pretty much everything I will need with me. If I am performing a cabaret or stage show then I will need a plug socket close to the stage. I will bring my own scenery, sound equipment suitable for up to 200 people, and of course, everything I require for my show. You just need to supply the audience and venue.

If I am performing mix and mingle, or round the tables, then I will bring everything required. You just need to relax and enjoy it.

For bespoke performances there may be some further requirements which will be discussed fully during the booking process.

What happens if something goes wrong?

If something ever goes awry during your event, don't panic.

I've performed for pretty much every type of audience and can get people laughing and enjoying themselves at a moments notice. If the food is running late or someone breaks their arm while they're dancing on stage (it's happened) - then you just need to call me over and I will work my magic to keep everyone entertained and happy.

I have never had a problem during my performances, but in the unlikely event that someone is hurt or personal property is damaged or lost during my performance I am fully insured with Public Liability Insurance up to £10 million.

Have Wand, Will Travel...

As I am based in South London, most of my performances take place in Central and Greater London, Surrey, Kent, and the Home Counties.
